It was sad to leave the beautiful Crowne Plaza hotel in Dublin but the drive to Belfast was quite enjoyable with quite a few nice rural scenic views. When we got to Belfast I had some work to do and then after that headed to check out the night life there. Oddly though at like 9:00 the city seemed really dead! I went by all the major hang out areas, Robinson’s (famous pub), The Apartment (chic hang out for a younger crowd, so I’m told), and The Globe (student bar) and none of them seemed too luring. Though I probably would’ve gone to ‘The Apartment’ had I been dressed better for it and if I wasn’t starving to eat some dinner! Anyways since almost all the restaurants were closed at this time (why I don’t know!), so I ended up going to this high class Chinese restaurant called Red Panda which was pretty good. After that I did a tiny bit of sightseeing and then went by the Globe (student bar, near the local Queen’s University) and hung out there for a bit. But I really have to say I really have a problem -- I can’t handle going out by myself, it’s just not my way of doing things, maybe it’s cause it makes me feel insecure or something I dunno but even though I’ve tried so hard to become more ‘independent’ on this trip it’s just not the kinda person I am!!! Anyways I’m going off on a tangent now so I should probably stop hahahaha I’ll be home in 36 days (but who’s counting) hehehe. We’ll be in Belfast for another day so I can sort out all the ferry stuff and then we head for Glasgow.
