Today I decided to head to the various markets in London and see if I could buy some interesting things from there. I headed to Camden town first and was in awe over all the market stalls that were setup there. There were tons of places selling clothes and different varieties of food and what not. There was almost too much too look at! For those of you who know me well, I have a problem when it comes to shopping – I really like to splurge. Like I’ll either spend $0 or $100 in a given day so I’m always very passive in buying that first item hehehe. As such I didn’t end up buying anything today. I also don’t have that much luggage room for things anyways and there are so many interesting things I still need to buy when I get back to Italy! Anyways shopping in Camden took much longer than I had expected and by the time I got to some of the other markets near Liverpool Street they had already closed. After that I headed to see the Tower of London where all the Queen’s jewels are kept (or all the jewels she’s stolen over the years hahaha!). But again by the time I got there it had already closed. I did walk around there and took some really nice pics of Tower Bridge and the rest of the city. Afterwards I met up with Decky and Sandy for dinner and then hung out with them. I was dying to see one of the theatre shows, especially Phantom of the Opera since it’s not in Toronto anymore (!!!) but by the time we had finished dinner and stuff it was way too late for that. We decided to do the next best thing and went to the movie theater hahaha. After putting a lot of thought into it hehehe we decided to watch the Birth with Nicole Kidman. It turned out to be pretty dumb which was surprising. The idea of the movie (a dead husband who comes back reincarnated to see his wife) seemed really good but in the end the movie made absolutely no sense. Anyways after the movie I had already missed the last tube train so Decky and Sandy paid for me to take a cab back to the hotel which was really nice of them! And thus ends my final night in London. I have to say I’ve really liked it here and though I doubt I could ever live in such a chaotically busy city, it’s very nice to visit.
