Shopping and walking in Manchester
First off it’s my brother’s birthday today so I have to wish him a happy birthday – it’s his ‘sweet’ 16 hehehe. We made it to Manchester today and our hotel seemed to be an exact clone of the one we stayed at in Birmingham but anyways our hotel was conveniently located near a really nice (and cheap!) shopping outlet mall so I went and spent, um a little bit too much money here! But regardless I do have to say that ever after converting the things I bought in my head to Canadian dollars the shirts and stuff I bought here were still quite cheap. After that I decided to go around and try to figure out why the heck our dial-up internet was giving us so many problems in the UK and after A LOT of walking and talking I finally made it to a big computer store and was able to find out what our problem was. Apparently the phone wires in the UK have different pins from the wires we have, so even after using a phone line adapter I needed an additional cable and tada internet was working. But it took a VERY LONG walk around the Manchester area to figure it out and actually find something to buy to fix the problem. Anyways by the time I got back to the hotel it was getting kinda late so I decided to go out for dinner (to celebrate my brother’s birthday here) and what better way to celebrate then by ordering a stuffed crust pizza at Pizza Hut hahahaha. Yeah so I ate my pizza, was very full, and then went back to the hotel to sleep and thus ends another day in merry old England. And also it sucks that there’s no Manchester United game tonight but there is one tomorrow but I’ll be gone by then :(
