Fun in Paris

Today was a VERY busy day of sight seeing. Oh and I just realized I’ve been spelling sight (not cite!) seeing wrong all this time…how embarrassing :( Me do know English by the way and I had a feeling it was wrong all this time. Anywho yeah I pretty much visited everywhere I wanted to go to today. You know everyone has told me that Paris is the most beautiful city in the world and they’re right! There is something here for everyone – from beautiful walking areas (the La Defense area has a huge walking area next to INCREDIBLE sky scrappers), all the artwork to make anyone tired in the Louvre, beautiful monuments spread throughout the city, and places to hang out at night…Paris really has it all! That being said I doubt I could ever picture myself living here cause there’s almost too many things going on here! After doing some sight seeing throughout the day I went to the Louvre in the evening and I can’t emphasize how freakin big this place is! I had only allocated three and a half hours here (like I said a very busy day!) and that definitely was not enough time to see everything…not even close. So I rushed around, spending time at the exhibit areas that interested me most. I didn’t have much time to look at all the various painting exhibits which did kinda of suck, but hey what can you do. It’s very tough to get around here too, this place is like a maze and not all the elevators and stairs take you to where you HOPE to go. But yeah so a lot of walking! After that I did some more sight seeing here and there and then went out to check out the night life in Paris in the “student” area. The streets were packed and it really was an awesome atmosphere to be in. Sadly though none of the pubs/clubs I went by would let just little old me in by myself. I came across this Jazz club that I was thinking of going to but after walking around for a little bit longer I stopped off the sit at this café with a live guitarist instead. And I was glad I did that! The guitarist was playing lots of classic oldies songs (from the beetles to Eric Clapton) and it was very nice sitting, relaxing, and just enjoying the music. I also met a group of New Yorkers who were here traveling around and hung out with them for a little bit which was quite nice. We made fun of George Bush together too hahaha. After chit chatting with them about stuff for a while I decided to call it a night cause I have to wake up at 7 am tomorrow to pick up our new car. Overall though it was a really awesome day…I finally met some ENGLISH speaking people my age in Paris and I was able to see all the sights I wanted to. Tomorrow I’m gonna pick up the new car, do some more sight seeing, and then drive to Calais.
