Chilling on the shores…of the Atlantic Ocean!

So I’m still in shock as to how nothing happened to our car yesterday. Peugeot really built this car tough! So I decided to test this car out to the next level and drive it into the Atlantic Ocean and see if it would float…hahaha just kidding. But we did drive it to the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. There are tons of beaches here in Portugal and all of them are so nice! Actually Portugal would definitely be a great place to take your girlfriend/wife because you can easily find lots of beaches that have close to no one on them…so you could have your own private beach! Of course I’m not in this case so Peter and I went to a beach that had a few more people around (but still very few). Anyways before going to the beach we drove to the airport to drop off the hard drives and drove by the ramp of death as well (but this way going in the right direction!). After that we headed for a nearby beach city called Costa da Caparica. Now at this time is was still pretty crappy weather and raining on and off, which really sucked. When we got to the city we weren’t too impressed with the beaches because there were really just like shorelines and not very nice. We went to the local tourist office and they told us where we could find better beaches. After stopping off for lunch (at Pizza Hut!!!) we headed to the “nicer” beaches. And the one we went too was REALLY nice. It was VERY weird though, as we were heading to the other beaches the sun came out and it became a beautiful day. How lucky we were! We hung there for a while, riding the waves and what not and that was pretty the day. The waves were quite strong so it was pretty fun riding on them. I collected some sea shells, no wait ocean shells!, which was fun BUT they are really easy to break and actually not that nice, but still how many people do you know who can say they have “ocean shells” from the Atlantic ocean they picked themselves? Anywyas, after that we headed back to hotel to do some work. And that was the day. Tomorrow we might go to another beach (assuming the weather is good) or do some cite seeing in Lisbon and then head off to Porto, Portugal.
