Exploring Swiss...

Today we left Bern heading towards south-western Switzerland. We stopped off at Montreux to look at the Chillon castle but what really caught my eye was the ASTOUNDING scenery there. The views of the French Alps was absolutely stunning. I opted not to take the castle tour (Peter did though) and go for a nice walk near the river there. I’ve tried to post some of my best pictures (below) and hope you like them. After that Peter and I met up again and then headed for Sion. Sion is a city in the Valais region and a pretty typical small Swiss town, surrounded by mountains though of course. It has a nice church and castle on two twin hilltops. There are a lot of one-way streets here though hahahaha which was at times was a little bit of a problem for us when driving here, but I won’t get into the details about that hehehehehe. But other than that, not much else. I decided to be exuberant and see what the night life in this small city was like on a Tuesday night. I headed to a local night club, sadly by myself :( , and was disappointed to see that there were very few people there…but that was no surprise I guess since it was Tuesday after all. Anyways I did meet a few interesting people there who were being a little bit too friendly with me (if you know what I mean) and being the good boy that I am, I decided to leave as that really was not what I was looking for. I went around the city after that and all the bars that were open looked pretty boring with "old" people in them so I just headed back to the hotel and spent the rest of the day talking with my friends on msn/icq. Not the most fun thing to do, but there isn't much for me to do in small towns like this...so I can't wait till we go back to a bigger city. Ah well I caught up with some people I haven't talked with in a while, so I'm happy. Tomorrow we head for Arhcamps, France which is about 15 km from Geneva.
