Lisbon’s Oceanarium!
So today we headed off to Porto BUT before doing that we decided to do some cite seeing in Lisbon. Before that I used some duct tape to tape up some of the front plastics on the car that was dangling; yes I know that’s pretty ghetto but it did the job! The place for now is to formally fix the car when we make it to Paris, hopefully we’ll make it there though! Anyways, we headed over to the old Expo ’98 site in Lisbon and man was it nice! After walking along the shores there for a bit we went to the main attraction: the Lisbon Oceanarium, which is the largest indoor aquatic place to go in Europe. As you can see from the pics I’ve posted it was so coooool. I got to see penguins and al the various critter in the different oceans of the world. The komodo dragon found in the Indian Ocean wasn’t there though so that sucked BUT otherwise the creatures there were really nice. In the centre of the oceanarium there was a immensely huge water structure which as you can see had all kinds of aquatic creatures in it, from sharks to sting rays to huge big slow fish! After looking around there for a while we headed to Porto. On the drive there we stopped off at a “beach” that Peter had recommended but when we got there we realized that it was more of a shore and we didn’t actually see anyone swimming…so we opted not to get in the water. We moved on to Porto and by the time we got there it was pretty late… so that was the day.
