Walking the streets of Madrid

So today I toured Madrid. I pretty much walked around the whole city and saw most of the major city attractions. It was nice to see how cultured things are here and overall the day was quite enjoyable. The streets in Madrid can get very confusing though…but every street was so busy with people that you never felt unsafe walking down some small alley. Again lots of walking today …maybe I should start taking those bus tours once and a while instead of walking so much every day hahaha. But it’s good exercise I guess and I definitely need it! Anyways after that I headed back to the hotel to do some work, check some emails, and catch up with some friends on MSN/ICQ. I then got ready to head out and see what they hype about nightlife in Madrid was all about. Sadly I walked around for quite a while and didn’t really see any places that were too appealing…maybe I should’ve planned where I wanted to go before I left hehehehehe. I’m a big fan of going to cafes and chit chatting with friends and actually I saw quite a few nice ones here BUT they’re not the greatest place to go to alone! It was still fun seeing more of the city. Tomorrow we head to Lisbon.
