Nice is soooooooooo nice Part 2!

So today I went around cite seeing in Nice. Peter and I split up and I walked around the streets looking at the nice buildings there. I went up to the castle-park place and it was actually very nice. I hope I’m not using the word NICE to much hahaha. Like the steps in Lyon, it was a long and grueling walk but the view of the city was definitely worth it. The catle-park place also had a waterfall which was real cool. After moping around that area for a while I headed down to the city center. There were actually lots of market stands setup selling nice art pieces/statues but the prices were pretty high so I decided not to buy any. After that I walked around some more, taking pictures. And then I headed for the beach. It was actually very fun and relaxing. The waves though were unbelievable. I didn’t go deep into the water at all but the waves that came in were sooooooo strong. I (like so many other people) actually got pushed over by some of the waves. That being said though it was SUPER fun riding the waves hehehehe.
After that Peter and I met back up for dinner and then headed back to the hotel to do some work. After doing our work we decided to quickly go check out Monaco and more specifically the Monte Carlo Casino. The drive to Monaco was not too bad and when we go there we were amazed at how high class things were. I forgot to bring my camera but man were the cars there ever nice! We saw a bunch of elegant car showrooms for Rolls Royce, Bentley, and Lamborghini. It was really crazy. After doing a little bit more cite seeing we headed to the Monte Carlo casino. Man was it ever nice inside! All the cars parked nearby it were like ridiculously expensive and rare. We headed to go into the Casino, paid the 10 EURO admission fee and then went in. It was nuts how rich the people in there were. I looked at all the card games and the minimums were too high for a little old student like me. So I ended up wasting some money on the slot machines instead. It was a little traumatizing that I didn’t win in the slots even once. After that we walked around the casino a little more and observed one of the blackjack tables. The casino has an incredible design and superb artwork throughout the building. It wasn’t as big as I thought it would be though. Ah well it was again getting quite late so we headed back to Nice…tomorrow we head to Marseille.

One thing I don’t think I’ve mentioned is how beautiful Lyon and Nice looked at night – both times I didn’t have a camera on me but its worth noting that they were amazing at night.
