Well after a long gruelling drive today we finally made it to Hamburg. The superspeed German highways weren’t all the fast today cause there was soooo much construction going on our highway routes and tons of traffic jams. Anyways, by the time I got to the city center it was almost 7 pm so I really had to hurry to see all the places I wanted to see! I started off at the main attraction – the town hall. Man the blue lighting on it made it so nice and there were lots of Christmas markets setup nearby so the atmosphere was really great. I hung around there for quite a while and then went by the main cathedrals in Hamburg. They were all closed by the time I got there so that was a little upsetting cause I wanted to see how they looked inside! Ah well, after that I roamed around in the Christmas market stalls setup there hahahaha and eventually walked over by the main train station and other towers which make good tourist sights. There was a really nice block of BEAUTIFUL buildings and palaces but the pictures I took with my camera turned out really crappy cause of the bright street lights near by – so you’ll have to visit Hamburg to see them yourselves! So yeah today was mostly a lot of walking, other than the town hall I wasn’t able to go inside any of the tourist attractions. Anywho Hamburg really has a lot of nice buildings and monuments and I’m told they have a ‘classy’ Red light district (I don’t know how it can be classy!) but I didn’t go by there so I can’t comment hahahaha. I also walked by a group of native Americans who were performing on the street and listened to them talking which was very nice, their music flowed so naturally and it was very enjoyable – I recorded some mpeg files of it but can’t post those cause they’re too big hehehe. Anyways I was really pooped and headed back to the hotel. I ran on the treadmill for a bit and then relaxed in the sauna. And tada another day done – only 16 more days! Tomorrow we head over to Berlin, which should be great!
